Before we headed out to the Sea of Galilee adventures for 9 days we stopped in Bethlehem and saw where some people think Christ was born. And..like everywhere else on planet holy, there is a church built over it in commemoration. It was fun to walk around though because this city was beautiful. There was high security and cool graffiti at the border crossing. Bethlehem is in the west bank, where Americans aren't allowed to go often. And groups in the past haven't been able to go, but we luckily got the chance. It was fun to purchase baby blankets for all of my sisters. After touring the city we had a Christmas devotional in a shepherds field overlooking Bethlehem at night and sung Christmas songs. What a spectacular feeling and experience. Gloria. Gloria. Gloria.![]()
Here are one of the many, many kids who ask for money.
This was in a cave (building now) where a monk lived and died (so it's also a tomb). He spent all day translating the bible from Hebrew to Latin.
