West Bank Closed So Canceled Class!

More Pictures to Come Tomorrow! I promise. Check back...
How often is it, that school is canceled because your teacher lives in one of the most dangerous places in the world and they don't let him out of his town? Our Islamic class was canceled today sadly. Tomorrow is Independance Day for Israel! George Bush is coming, and our security said we could go out tomorrow to see the party. It's definitely going to be big. Today during Religion (at 6:30 in the morning mind you...) there was jets flying so fast, so close to our classroom windows that we all thought we were going to die from bombs. We all went silent and just watched and didn't move. But later we found out they are practicing for the big party tomorrow to celebrate. From 8:00 tonight until 8:00 tomorrow night the Jews are in morning at the cemetary for all those that have died from fighting, and then when 8:00 strikes tomorrow...p a r t y baby. This place is so amazing. I just feel so lucky to be here, and everytime I walk down the streets I just drink in the culture. I'm so happy here. Today I took out 4 engaged girls into the town who hadn't been yet before. They've been in talking to their fiance's or working on homework...so we broke them out of their educational bondage and took them to the culture of the world. It was fun to be with them. I went and saw the church of the holy seplecher which is one of the holiest spots to Christianity. Everyone was bending down and kissing the places where they think the Savior suffered, or was hung on a cross. I got some money cool photos and loved being there. It definitely was different than the garden tomb. Such a different feeling. We took so long though that we had to book it up and down hills (the valleys here and huge, and hills are what jerusalem is). We were sweating by the time we got here and missed dinner! So we just barely ran to the pharmacy where Aldeeni works and I bought a 1.5 liter bottle of delicious grapefruit juice. Now it's time to get on some homework, and prepare a presentation that I have to give at Gezer tomorrow. I have such cool pictures today! Pray that the computers will be fixed. Life is good.
